What’s love got to do with it?

Okay, I probably read more into my weekend date than I should have, but what’s a broken-hearted girl to do?

The evening went well, we had some fun, laughed a lot, compared notes on the types of stories we liked, and what was wrong with the ones we didn’t, and we ended the evening with a quick kiss and the promise of a new friend and beta reader.

At least I got out of the house for something other than the weekly supermarket shop.

I also came home with several new ideas for erotic stories.

Not trusting my brain one little bit, I typed out some notes on each of the potential stories, and filed them under ‘future projects.’

After that, the only thing I could do was shower alone, and then retire to bed with my favorite latex toy and pretend somebody real was making me happy.

Should I give up on trying to find myself a soul mate?

Fantasising about sexual partners seems to be a more realistic option . . . for now.

In other news, I’m currently half-way through the first story of the new shifter series, which I’ve provisionally called ‘Shifter’s Legacy.’ It’s crammed full of hot sex (too much sex, maybe? Is there such a thing as too much sex?) between main character Nadia and her boyfriend (father to her first-born child), her best friend Laura (although Nadia’s doing her best to resist any girl-girl action), and three shifter champions who earned the right to bed Nadia once a year.

This doesn’t all happen in the same chapter, you understand. That would be too much (see musing notes in the previous paragraph). No, I’ve spread all that sex across four whole chapters, giving the poor reader a moment to catch their breath.

While all this is going on, the fourth book in the new Half-Breed (sci-fi) series is progressing nicely. Aurora has gone all Sarah Connor and is determined to take the fight back to the bad guys, in between seducing random strangers and absorbing their DNA using sex. If you’ve forgotten, Aurora can only suppress her alien physiology and remain (mostly) human by allowing different men to ‘breed’ her on a regular basis.

Oh, and she’s also sleeping with her fiancee’s identical twin.

When Aurora rides, she really rides (wink)!

The gay sideline of my shifter series hasn’t moved along much. I’m still treading carefully through the issue of avoiding any implication of under-age sex. Different parts of the world have very different ideas about what’s legal and what isn’t. Young guys’ urges tend to awaken long before it’s legal to act upon them, and my free-roaming shifters are no exception. But if I made them all over 21 before they saw any action, they’d be too old for an awakening story.

You see my problem . . .

Anyone who has any advice on this issue (apart from ‘drop the whole thing,’ please . . .) leave a comment below and help a struggling writer to figure this out.

Thank you in advance.

Wish me luck

Sometime life hits you hard, and a person can imagine that they’ll never be hapy again, that they might never love again.

And yet, fate sometimes throws us a lifeline in the most unexpected way.

Today, I was delivering some paperwork, and I started chatting to a friendly twenty-something woman of Indian descent.

(Not her, but enough like her)

It turned out we have a lot in common, from our families’ origins, to our adherence to (and discarding of) traditional culture. We both suffered a crushing heartbreak, and neither of us is really looking for anybody, but for the first time in a long time, I was able to open up to somebody.

Turns out, she’s also dabbled in writing, although she prefers to read adult stories, whereas I prefer to write them.

Long story short, I offered to send her some of my books. She said no, why I don’t I deliver them on Saturday night.

To her house!

And she’s cooking for me!

I offered to bring dessert, and she accepted.

If nothing else, I think I might have found a kindred spirit. If she turns out to be a soulmate, that’s be amazing.

But a friend would be enough for now.

In other news, My new Wolves of New Hampshire story is progressing well. Provisionally called Shifter’s Legacy, Nadia’s adventures post-Sammenføjning are revealing themselves to me, and the excitement of discovery is growing.

In case you didn’t already know, I’m a confirmed pantser (I only plot the most basic elements of a story), which makes writing extra special for me. The story emerges line by line, which is always an adventure.

The downside of this process is, predictably, I have no real idea how the story will progress.

But that’s the exciting part!

.

Wish me luck.

Chasing my Mojo

A few days ago, I vowed to plunge back into my writing, in order to purge the pain from my heart.

It kinda worked.

I still cry myself to sleep most nights, and struggle to watch anything even remotely sentimental on TV, but my Muse has drifted back into my life, one hand on my shoulder as I thrash out ideas on the computer. Okay, there isn’t much thrashing going on. It’s more of a quiet mulling, but dramatic licence exists for a reason, right?

Anyway, I started two new stories this weekend, both of them set in the shifter forests of New Hampshire. If you’ve read any of my previous posts, you’ll quickly spot The Wolves of New Hampshire series, a story where an ordinary city girl called Nadia is abruptly plunged into the intense competititive world of male shifters who have little to no contact with the outside world.

The Progenitors

Naturally, the men are naked (forest rules apply. This ain’t Twilight), and Nadia finds herself drawn into a forbidden relationship with a young shifter, as well being pulled into an intense girl-girl romance.

What? None of my stories are 100% straight. They all blur the boundaries to some degree. Gay men experiment with women (usually unsuccessfully), straight women sleep with other women, and all my transgender characters have fluid relationships.

Back to the shifter story.

With six stories already written, and the Happy Ever After in place, I was suddenly inspired to write the next part of Nadia’s adventure, which opens with a three-guy gang bang and her cuckolded lover. Nothing like plunging straight in, right. A good policy for a sexy story, not so much fun in real life, right girls? I always prefer foreplay or plenty of lube for an abrupt plunge.

(That goes for guy-guy action too, by the way).

Anyway, there’s already plenty of sex, a theme which should continue throughout the new series, however many books it turns into (probably four, but we’ll see).

In addition to the above shenanigans, I was also inspired to write a parallel story, which is a gay adventure romance, and takes place alongside the original Wolves of New Hampshire stories.

With so many guys in the forest, and so few women, a young man has to find love somewhere, right? So two of them, with occasional input from their pack-mates, will enjoy secretive (at first) gay sex and love in the forest while the events of Nadia’s story play out in the background.

Something for everyone, and a chance to expand my shifter universe along two different threads.

Watch this space for updates.

New release! My male Succubus has arrived.

You’re probably wondering about the headline already. For those of you who aren’t sure, a female soul collector is a Succubus, whilst a male collector is normally an Incubus.

Oops, I was naughty, and mixed things up a bit. I used a tiny bit of artistic licence, because while Sam Driver has been sent back from Hell as an Incubus to collect womens souls during the process of seduction, his intitial attempts fell short of his Demon-master’s standards.

However, he proved fairly successful at collecting male life-energy, discovering his talent during a wild threesome. His Demon offered him a chance to prove his worth and Sam, being an open minded sort, decided ‘why not?’ So he was reclassified as a male Succubus.

Soul Collector‘ is a paranormal fantasy, largely M/M, but with a bisexual touch.

sc-moams1-ao-200-300

Samuel Driver died in 1973, a fairly successful career criminal and modest bad guy. He quickly landed in Hell, but his refusal to accept an eternity of suffering brings him to the attention of Asmodeus, a three-headed demon, who recognises Sam’s potential and proposes a deal. Asmodeus offers Sam special shape-shifting powers, to be used in the seduction of women on Earth. Sam must bring them sexual pleasure and Asmodeus will watch closely, ready to suck away part of the women’s life energy during the throes of passion.

Sam accepts the proposal, but finds the task more difficult than anticipated, failing to acquire any energy at all during his first week on Earth. Asmodeus is less than impressed and threatens to return Sam to Hell if he fails again. But before he sends Sam away, he concedes that Sam would have had some success at seducing men, if only he hadn’t sabotaged his own efforts. Men, it seems, release double the sexual energy of women.

Armed with this knowledge, Sam changes tack and successfully beds and seduces two men in the same afternoon, draining them both and earning himself the unique title of Male Succubus, seducer of men.

Soul Collector‘ is the third of my new stories and part one of the ‘Memoirs’ series. Watch this space for more of Sam Driver’s adventures!

Oh, and you may want to peek at my other stories, ‘The Progenitors‘ and ‘Half-Breed,’ both part ones. ❤

Oops. An apology to Kelly Love.

I owe Kelly Love (not the Australian fashion designer) an apology. 😦

In my last post, where I mentioned Kelly’s new story Spy Games, I bemoaned the missing third installment of the F/F office romp featuring Stacy Quinn.

Having enjoyed reading book #1 Carnal Lust and #2 Carnal Sin , I asked what had happened to the final part of the story.

Oops, my bad. I’d somehow missed the release of Carnal Love, the final part of the trilogy, back in May.

carnal love

Stacy Quinn’s heart aches for her new boss, Marcy. She’s desperate for Marcy to be the one for her, the ideal partner, the one she spends the rest of her life with.

But Stacy has messed up. When a horrified Marcy discovers Stacy in the arms of another woman, the relationship with her boss turns ice cold. Even the future of her career is in doubt.

Somehow Stacy has to find a way to repair all the rapidly-growing cracks in her life—and fast, because her successful career and her chance at a lifetime of happiness are at stake.”

This blogger is looking forward to settling down to read the final story and (hopefully) discover if Stacy gets the HEA (I think) she deserves.

I’m hoping for a hot, sticky night with my Kindle. 😉

iHeart Kelly Love’s new spy story

Kelly Love (still not the Australian fashion designer, but an author in her own right) has released the first in a new series of stories.

Not content with having released Carnal Lust and Carnal Sin, she’s penned a series about female secret agents who get a little more involved with each other than they ought to. 😉

spy games#1

Special Agent Sandy is keeping a close eye on Gina Norwell, an investigator within the Internal Affairs Division. Sandy’s boss wants to find out why Gina has been spying on him. He needs Sandy to shut her down, or at the very least, distract her.
But Sandy’s attempts get her far closer than she bargained for. After a night in Gina’s bed, she’s no longer certain whose side she’s on.
Can Sandy stick to the mission? Or will Sandy’s feelings destroy everything she’s worked so hard for?”

At .99c for 61 pages, Spy Games is a sweet, thrilling, summer read, featuring F/F love, lust, drugs, and espionage. Sandy has to tread a dangerous path between her paranoid boss and the suspicious, feisty investigator, Gina. Sandy must convince Gina she’s working with, rather than against her. Which of course, she’s not.

I was quickly drawn into the story as Sandy worked her secret agent magic. There are even a few spy tricks, which today’s reader expects to find in every espionage novel. I know I did. And I was surprised by where Sandy hid her secret devices!

Love the idea of a lesbian spy story, Kelly Love, but when are we going to see Stacy Quinn’s final story? I need her HEA. Don’t let me down! 😀

A reawakening – new novellas emerging

Following the closure of my first-ever publisher, SteameReads, my Bucket List series (six novellas strong) has been looking for a new home.

The Bucket List1 lost2

In the meantime, I’ve been super-busy, ghostwriting erotic novellas at the rate of two per week. Not all of these disappear into the ether with someone else’s name on, however. A few, only a few, remain mine.

These are the precious stories which, as they take shape, cling to my mind wailing ‘we’re yours, don’t send us away.’

Well, I couldn’t, could I? Not after that.

Such a story is ‘The Progenitors.’

title banner tease

In such a case, the client gets a simpler version of the (rapidly-expanding) story, something quite different. But at its heart, it contains the same requirements, so the contract is fulfilled. As a bonus, I end up with something quite wonderful, which is a story with the potential for a series.

Born from an original request for a MMF erotic story involving shape-shifting wolves, I tried to find a new angle on this very popular, and much-covered genre.

I hope I’ve done it justice. 🙂

Due for release on June 11th 2015, The Progenitors is the first in the proposed ‘Wolves of New Hampshire’ series.

I’ll be sending out ARCs to my trusted betas soon. If you’re a bona-fide reviewer, and you’d be interested in featuring the story, please let me know in the comments below.

Please note: I’m only permitted to release a limited number of ARCs, and only to publisher-approved reviewers, so I’ll have to be choosy.

Watch this space for more new novellas (I have more!). 😀

iHeart Kelly Love (again)

Kelly Love (not the Australian fashion designer) has been very busy lately.

Not content with one sweet F/F story, she’s already published a sequel, with a third to follow soon.

I gotta find out what brand of coffee she drinks!

Carnal Sin is her second novella length office-based lesbian romp, which follows on from Carnal Lust.

Carnal sin cover

“Stacy Quinn is falling in love with her boss, Marcy. But trouble arrives in the shape of Josefina, a gorgeous, slender, young woman who bears a stunning resemblance to Marcy’s past lover.
As Josefina and Marcy are brought together to work on a series of high-tech adult toys, Stacy begins to worry as the pair see more of each other than they should. Stacy watches helplessly as they share several passionate moments together whilst testing vibrators.
Will Stacy be pushed aside in favor of the stunning young woman? Or will Stacy fight for her one chance at true love?”

At 15k, Carnal Lust is packed with story and steam, plus a good dose of intrigue. Carnal Sin continues the story, where Stacy Quinn must decide if she wants to throw herself into her boss’s arms, heart and soul, or keep a little of herself aside for her regular bed-friend, Rachel. Once again, the sex is hot, hard and sticky, but Stacy is thrown off-track when the beautiful Josefina walks into her life and provides her boss with a new kind of distraction.

I loved this story of women in love and turmoil, as it mirrors six months of my life in a previous, previous, previous job, and a relationship which didn’t end well. But I have my fingers crossed for Stacy’s HEA. Can’t wait for the next story! 😀

iHeart the new release from Kelly Love!

One of my Facebook friends has finally been able to spill the beans on a secret she’s been bursting to announce for the past four weeks.

Kelly Love (not to be confused with the Australian fashion designer) is very excited about her first ever release, a novella length office-based lesbian romp, Carnal Lust. It’s a pure F/F story, with only occasional hints to anything remotely M/F. 😀

carnal love cover

“Stacy Quinn is a hotshot copywriter, working at the world’s top advertising agency. She has the looks, the smarts and the drive. She has it all. Or so it seems…
Stacy has secrets, dark secrets that haunt her every single day. Every night she chases a new woman to satisfy her lust. But each conquest leaves her feeling emptier than the last. When new manager Marcy arrives at the office, Stacy finds the ground shifting beneath her feet.

Will Marcy be another wet, hot and steamy conquest or can their relationship blossom into something more?”

At 15k, Carnal Lust is packed with story and steam, plus a good dose of will-they-won’t-they intrigue. Stacy Quinn bounces (literally) from woman to woman, hoping each one will fill the emptiness within her. The sex is hot, hard and sticky, but leaves Stacy feeling as lonely as ever. However, the new boss provides Stacy with a different kind of distraction, that of writing copy for a range of adult merchandise.  This has the added bonus of bringing the two women close together from the outset.

I’ve been involved in the project as a beta-reader and loved the mixture of fun and hints of darkness that infuse Stacy’s life. Kelly’s also considering a sequel, so more hot boss-and-employee frolics could follow. I already volunteered to beta this one as well. 🙂

If you sneak across to Kelly’s author page, you can even bag yourself a free deleted scene from the book, an idea I love so much I think I’ll steal offer something similar for my own stories.

Here at long last (with a touch of controversy)!!!

Work, Rest&Play-highres

After a tantalisingly long wait, the second Action Station novel is now available to read!

Although I thoroughly enjoyed writing this second story about the sexual awakening of young firefighter Jensen Brother, it’s already ruffled a few feathers in the M/M genre, because the story also features…wait for it…a woman!

Wait, you cry. How can a hot M/M romance have a woman in it?

Well, it’s partly the fault of my libido and partly a vehicle to highlight young Jensen’s sexual awakening. As with the first Action Station novella (A Risk of Showers), Jensen gets it on with a couple of the other guys at Rutherford Fire Station and some hot guy-on-guy action follows.

One of them, Craig, is bisexual rather than gay, so when a grateful fire victim, Monique, makes him an offer he can’t refuse, he persuades Jensen along. Both Jesen and Craig were both instumental in saving the woman’s from her burning apartment. Monique’s intent is to reward the guys with sex, but whilst bisexual Craig is eager to accept, Jensen finds  himself left on the sidelines, unable to muster any interest in the woman’s body. He only has eyes for Craig’s muscles and his aroused tackle.

And so, young Jensen realises he is fully gay and is able to put aside any remaining doubts. He is persuaded to join in the threesome, but the woman accepts the lad isn’t interested in her, and watches with some excitement as the two hunky firefighters pleasure each other.

I must admit that my own fantasises crept into play as I wrote this story. The idea of being in bed with two guys whilst they were playing with each other brought me a little thrill…one that mecassitated me scurrying away from the keyboard a couple of times to ‘sort myself out.’

What? You don’t think writers get turned on by their own stories? 😉

Anyway, the result has already caused some arguments about whether Monique ought to be in the story at all.  The best I can suggest is for you to read it and make up your own mind whether this is a female fantasy story, or an awkward genre-stretcher.

In the meantime, be nice to yourself.
